Community Advice and Support Scheme (CASS) have an expanding portfolio of training events within a range of services and standards which we offer to Local Authorities, Department of Work and Pensions, NHS, Government, business, community and local organisations.
Examples of our training events include Customised Training in Customer Services offering customer services, health and safety (including manual lifting), self promotion, dealing with difficult situations and equal opportunities on behalf of the London Borough of Islington to prepare job seekers, some of whom have already been earmarked for employment.
At the conclusion of each training event we issue a certificate of attendance and completion of the course.
We are able to deliver numerous types of training so if you as an organisation or as an individual are interested in finding out more please contact our office.
CASS in partnership with other providers organize relevant work based training and qualifications to prepare job seekers and volunteers for employment by acquiring an NVQ.
The NVQ is a placement based/related qualification in Customer Services, IT, Care, Management, Construction and other disciplines allowing people who are in employment, job seekers and volunteers to increase their career prospects.
Participants may be accepted and facilitated by CASS but we require them to continue their employment or other relevant activity. An assessor will visit them in the primary place of work or employment once a month or at another designated centre within our area of activity to complete each stage and gain a recognised qualification.
CASS will issue relevant equipment such as laptops and memory sticks which may be kept by the participants until the end of the course. The course itself will be free for volunteers, employees and partners of CASS but there will be a modest fee for any issued equipment where participants do not have their own.
